I hope that every one has a safe New Year's. We are staying home with the kiddies tonight. Mr. Ski and I haven't gone out on New Year's eve in many years- just too dangerous! I prefer to spend it at home with family and any friends that want to come by. It is just much safer that way, and I start the new year off surrounded by the people I love!
My resolution this year us to try to be a better mother and wife. (Not that I am a bad one, just I am sure there are things I could do better...) I also am resolving to get the Princess potty trained. Mr. Ski told her that they don't make diapers anymore, so after this pack is done, she has to use the potty. Not sure if that will work- nothing else has so far! Hopefully, in the year to come, she will also start sleeping on her bed all night... : )
Please be safe this New Year's eve, and heres to a wonderful 2010!

Quick post....
Just finished eating dinner (Shepherd's Pie, nothing fancy- I am not the world's greatest cook... That honor goes to Mr. Ski!) now i am suffering through Yo Gabba Gabba. Oh joy! I think later tonight, Mr. Ski and I are going to whup Ski Jr.'s butt on Super Mario for the Wii.... sounds fun, huh?
Went to Wal-mart last night to spend some gift cards on myself. I caved and bought a pair of skinny jeans. I also bought some nail polish- Rimmel Camouflage and Hard Candy Mr. Wrong. Currently, I am wearing Mr. Wrong- haven't decided how i feel about it yet. We will see!
I guess that is all for now. I may be back later!

I'm back!
Sorry for disappearing for so long. Things were crazy here! The kiddies had a good Christmas though, and that's all that matters. the Princess got so many freaking Barbies... I felt like I was opening those damn packages for hours! Why must everything be tied and stuck together with those horrible plastic ties??? Ugh! She also got a princess potty from Santa. Maybe she will be inspired to try potty training again! Well, I can dream, can't I?? Ski Jr. has spent most of his time since Christmas playing the XBox or the Wii- he got a few new games. He received Super Mario Brothers for the Wii- I am totally playing that one!! Reminds me of when I was a kid! (of course, if I want to do the whole nostalgia thing, I could always drag out the Atari... yes, I still have my Atari!)
Anywhoo, I just wanted to pop in and say hi, if there is anyone out there paying any sort of attention to my ramblings!

Merry Christmas!
I am probably going to be MIA the next few days... Christmas time is a tad crazy around here! Tomorrow night (Christmas Eve) we are going to Mr. Ski's grandmother's house for Christmas with his side of the family. On Christmas morning, after convincing the monsters- I mean kids- to sleep just a BIT longer, we are going to my mother's for coffee and my stepdad's awesome breakfast casserole. Oh yeah, and presents and family.... : ) After that, home for a nap, and then to Mr. Ski's other grandmother's house for the rest of the family. My hubby's family is very large! Needless to say, it is going to be a long couple of days!
I hope everyone out there has a wonderful and safe holiday!

Random
While The Princess is eating her lunch, I thought I would pop in... Mr. Ski is taking The Princess to his work Christmas party and then to see Santa for the first time tomorrow. Unfortunately, Ski Jr. starts Christmas break tomorrow, so I don't get any time alone. (He is too old for Santa he says. He just turned 12 on Sunday.)
I decided to do my nails in a pepto pink color. (Wet-n-Wild, can't remember the name.) I wasn't feeling anything I have- I really need some new polishes.... I only have about 10! If anyone out there wants to remedy that... : ) I need to find the cable to my camera so I can post NOTD pics. My Mac doesn't have a card reader, boo!
That's enough babbling for now, I suppose. I need to go and make sure The Princess isn't feeding her lunch to the dog!

Goodnight, all
I managed to survive my day, and I never did get a nap... That's ok, the kiddies just went to bed and I may not be too far behind. I am sitting here with Mr. Ski, enjoying a glass of wine and watching the football game. It is a tough year to be a Redskins fan! I am going to go remove my chipping mani (Rimmel Royal Mint- sorry, no pic) and figure out what color I am in the mood for....
Hope everyone has a good night!
Until tomorrow...

Yawn!
Last night I could not sleep- not a wink. I was still awake at 6:45 AM when it was time to get my older son (henceforth known as Ski Jr. ) off to school. After my hubby, (who is known as Mr. Ski) left for work, I had planned to lie down on the couch and sleep for a few hours, at least. Well, of course nothing ever goes as planned! No sooner did I lay down, my daughter (also known as The Princess or the Banana) decided that it would be a good time to get out of bed! I managed to talk her into laying with me for awhile, but after about an hour or so, she got restless. Add to that a whining dog, and a cat that wanted to get the squirrels outside, and you have a recipe for no sleep!! Needless to say, I am TIRED! I am on cup of coffee number two, and I want a nap. Too bad the Princess hasn't taken a nap since she was a year old- she is three now... Ugh... it is going to be a looooong day!
That's all for now, but I will probably be back later. (Provided I don't die from exhaustion!)

Hello!
It seems that everyone and their mother has a blog these days... I guess I felt a bit left out! I figure I will use this blog as a way to keep myself sane in a world where I only have a three year old to talk to during the day! I am a stay at home mom, so until my older child and husband get home in the late afternoons, my day is filled with Nick Jr. and soap operas... sounds fun, huh?
