NOTD- ChG Ten Man **warning, naked nails included!*

So much for getting sun light pictures!  It has been gloomy all day here.  The best I can show you is some natural light pics and some pics under the lamp.

This is 3 coats of Ten Man, and I still see VNL, so you may want to layer it over a nude or white polish. (Neither of which are in my stash...)  I was afraid this would make me look dead, but I liked it!

Then, I got the idea to put PI Heartbreaker over it.  In my head, it sounded very pretty, but on the nail, meh.  It is barely noticeable after 3 coats- just gives Ten Man a pale green tinge to it.

Please excuse the color of my hands, this is in my kitchen, but it was the most color accurate of the polish.

WARNING!!  Naked nails ahead!!

My nails are stained yellow, and I am not sure why.  I use base coat under everything....  any recommendations on how to fix them?

Back to nail polish!

I am stuck at home with sick munchkins, so sorry if this post is a bit rushed!  I had to run out on Saturday to get a present for a baby shower and a party that Ski. Jr. was going to, so I popped in to 5 Below and walked out with 3 polishes. (Funky Fingers are 3 for $5)  As soon as I got back from dropping Ski Jr. off at the party, I put on the first one.  Totally in love!!

It's kind of hard to see, but this is a holo! It is called Jester, and I believe it is the same as Color Club Wild at Heart. (feel free to correct me if I am wrong, ladies!)  Here it is with flash:

Pretty, huh?  This was 2 coats...  Mr. Ski and I went out that night, and I couldn't stop looking at my hands!

I decided to change it this morning, so I grabbed another of the Funky Fingers- Bizerk Turk.  The formula on this one irritated me, thin and streaky.  I ended up using 4 coats!

My pictures did not capture the color at all- it is way more green than this!  I decided that after the holo this weekend, I wanted more oomph, so I added 2 coats of Heartbreaker over it.  Once again, my camera didn't want to capture the color right, but here we go.

I might have to try to take better pictures tonight under the lamp!!

NOTD - Maybelline Acoustic Azure and Pure Ice Heartbreaker

I was inspired by yesterday's experiment with Heartbreaker over GuG to try it over blue.  It looks very similar, but I love it!!  It kind of looks like beetle wings!

This is 3 coats Acoustic Azure, 2 coats Heartbreaker and of course base coat and SV.  Sorry about the random hand poses, I was running around the house trying different lights and weird moves with my fingers to capture all the colors!  I also just noticed that the Princess's tummy is in the second picture!  She kept trying to plant herself in the background of every picture I took- looks like she succeeded!!

Real quick!

Just a real quick drive by post....  I decided to put Pure Ice Heartbreaker over my GuG mani from yesterday...

It made this really cool duochrome effect!  I wonder if I put it over a dark blue, will it look like my precious Rimmel Mania?  Hmm...  I may have to try that soon!!
